The Bellwether Foundation invites qualified organizations to submit a Preliminary Grant Application for review. The Bellwether Foundation will consider one application per organization per grant cycle. For example, two projects from two different departments of an organization will not be considered during the same year.
The Bellwether Foundation has created a two-step application process. Once the Preliminary Grant Application is completed and submitted online, The Bellwether Foundation will review the application and make a determination as to whether they see a potential grant opportunity. You will be contacted shortly after a decision is made concerning your Preliminary Grant Application. The Bellwether Foundation will request more information in a Detailed Grant Application or send you an email declining your application for the current year.
** New in 2023** The Bellwether Foundation will consider one-year requests for a grant amount of $10,000 or less as STL Promise Grants. Instead of a two-step application process, these grants will be considered complete after the STL Promise Grant Application is completed and submitted online. There will not be an additional Detailed Grant Application.
Primary consideration for grants will be given to qualified 501(c)(3) organizations within the St. Louis community in Missouri.
Areas of current funding interest include:
Education
Conservation
St. Louis Civic Institutions
